It has been a busy month of May. Here are some of the
highlights…
Some of the ladies of our church held a surprise baby shower
for Rina. They all pitched in to buy a complete care baby bath center. We are
thankful for their kindness and generosity. Next month, God willing, we will be able to use it.
On Mother’s Day we had 44 mothers who attended the morning service. Each
mother received a rose, a fan, and chocolate. We were also able to surprise Ma'am Dulce
with a bouquet of flowers and a picture frame that the church people had signed
for her. It was just a simple way to say thank you to her for her faithfulness at the
church during the past 10 years.
We had 15 people that were baptized on Sunday morning. In
the weeks leading up to the baptism, I, along with their Sunday School teachers,
sat down and spent some time talking with each one to make sure that they understood
what the purpose of baptism was. It is a joy to know that they expressed their
desire to follow the Lord in obedience and be baptized. Please pray that they
will continue to grow in their faith and serve the Lord.
After our Sunday evening service, we were able to pass out school
notebooks for our church kids from kindergarten all the way through high
school. These notebooks were kindly donated by a family in Texas
that used to live in the Philippines
and attend our church. We passed out over 250 notebooks and we still have some
more to give away this week. It was a blessing to be able to give out the
notebooks and help the kids get ready for school. It starts next week.
We thank everyone for their constant prayers and support.
God Bless,
-Ptr. Matt & Rina-
